Hi Tom,

We haven't had a reason to defrost the freezer yet. It's just got a thin film of snowy frost on the walls.

I haven't had a chance to get the plexi yet. However, we did find that the can holder does accommodate small stadium roll sandwiches perfectly for the time being. As soon as I do the modification I'll post about it :)

I'm thinking that when I do get the plexi-glas I'll cut it to the length and width of the dispenser and then heat fold a lip just to keep it from slipping out, then use it as a secondary crisper.

(Hope the formatting doesn't screw up :-)

I'm also interested in the Magic Chef MCBR415S, but have 2 questions:

* One thing that attracts me, from reading the instruction manual, is
that it seems one can defrost the freezer separately from the
fridge. This makes sense, since they have separate doors, but I
wanted to ask if you've actually done that.

* Something that annoys me and you is

> the door has a can dispenser. Since we don't buy soda or canned
> juice I'm going to cut some plex-glas and form it into a more
> practical holder.

Have you tried that yet? If so, details appreciated--I'd prefer not
 to reinvent any wheels.
